**Job Summary**
Responsible for the development and support of manufacturing execution systems and related shop floor systems.
Working closely with regional leaderships.
IT staff and cross-functional site resources, this role is responsible for helping to develop the initial business case, funding proposal and staffing requirements for site or product specific MES launches, regional MES/shop/floor deployments and upgrades, as well as long-term production support once projects are delivered.
This role leads a team of MES specialists and analysts who manage and support individual projects and manufacturing operations within the responsible locations.
**Responsibilities**
- Works with the business representatives who specify the standard system template for how MES and shop flow systems are designed, installed, and operated across the global Yanfeng organization.
- Leads, mentors, and coordinates the activities of a dedicated team of IT experts and analysts who design, deploy and support MES and shop floor IT solutions, within the globally specified standard.
- Gathers requirements and rationalizes the business case for proposed MES and shop floor IT solutions that support manufacturing operations.
- Owns vendor relationships to quote, deploy and support MES and shop floor installations.
- Provides an escalation point for project issues and operations support related to MES and shop floor systems.
- Lead, motivate and enable co-workers, including capability and knowledge development needed.
**Qualifications**
- University degree (bachelor's degree or equivalent experience).
An advanced technical degree or applicable graduate degree (MBA) is highly desirable.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT operation, service management, or other IT roles, and with business experience with at least 2 years recent supervisory (management) experience required.
- Management experience with a similar size team and impact.
- Experience with large IT project implementations and business operation.
- Subject matter expertise with manufacturing execution systems/shop floor control systems in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Able to travel to geographic regions where Yanfeng operates, including North America, EMEA and Asia.
- Must have demonstrable knowledge of plant operations, manufacturing, supply chain.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects or programs.
- Proven ability to successfully lead teams.
- Must be able to identify process deficiencies and gaps and propose process changes and solutions to close the gaps.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and to lead others, in a directed effort, to complete projects.
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to global cultural diversity elements in the business environment.
