To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people.We are seeking a Senior Program Manager (PM) to lead a team of labor planning managers and analysts and be responsible for labor planning activities across Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Mexico. The core functionality of the role is to lead the network planners and act as a Subject Matter Expert who can teach and influence all aspects of production planning tactically and strategically.The Senior PM is expected to be highly analytical, understand complex systems and influence the various stakeholders impacting labor planning, including AMZL Operations, Operations Finance, Human Resources, Workforce Staffing and Last Mile planning teams, in order to develop labor plans that are accurate and achievable across Delivery Stations (DS). The decisions made by this role can have a significant impact on capacity placement, associate experience and overall costs associated with how well the labor plan balances between the site and the network level constraints.Key Job ResponsibilitiesDefine the overall capacity under the roof across MexicoLead labor planning mid- and long-term activities for all DSDrive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to improve the labor planning process which ultimately enable the AMZ to meet and exceed business planLeverage the labor planning and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) teams by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the supply chain planning and execution.Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices in labor planning are shared across the network.Manage others, develop exceptional talent, and encourage your team to challenge assumptionsPromote recruiting efforts across the network to continually hire and develop the bestRecommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitabilityWork with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timelyBASIC QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of program or project management experienceExperience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvementsExperience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadershipPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS2+ years of driving process improvements experienceMaster's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related fieldAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace
