**Description**:
This position provides support in data analysis for hybrid selection and advancement. Characterization of inbreds and hybrids, native gene introgression, trait conversions, gene discovery special projects, molecular analysis, experimental design, field implementation and data acquisition. Characterization of materials from Mexican breeding programs for variety registration (UPOV) and registration.
**Activities**
- Work with breeders in the development of inbred conversions, nursery and harvesting activities.
- Generate experiments, follow up and data acquisition.
- Work with other teams collecting samples.
- Coordinate the sampling of vegetative tissue in maize to obtain molecular data.
- Nursery harvest and selection to generate quality data in order to make decisions in product advancement.
- Responsible for data acquisition to fulfill requirements in the UPOV system.
- Comply with the collection of high-quality data in a timely manner.
- Responsible of quality data acquisition to characterize materials.
- Responsible of data acquisition based on stablished protocols and opportunistic characterization across field locations.
- Participate actively in safety programs and quality systems.
- Accomplishment of company policies, compliance with trainings.

**Qualifications**:
- Time availability and availability for field work.
- Postgraduate, preferably a PhD in plant breeding or a Master's degree with equivalent experience.
- Knowledge in genetics, genetic datya analysis tools and experimental design.
- At least three years of experience in similar activities.
- Advanced english level, conversation and written skills are required.
- Teamwork, self-motivation and time management.
- Self motivated to keep growing and learning.
- Advanced level of use of Excel and Microsoft packages and data analysis.
