.Primary Purpose:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Specific activities may change from time to time.- Works with the Application Development Manager or Sr IT Manager to receive and develop per design specification in the Solution Design Document. This role can also reach out to the product owner, business analysts, or with the business directly to understand and analyze the business objective, system's functional requirements to provide technical solutions. Developers will unit test their work prior to turnover for QA testing or user acceptance testing to ensure the highest quality is delivered.- Reviews and implements the technical solution as designed. This role participates in the technical and functional design process to ensure software best practices are used and the best user experience is delivered. This role writes the Solution Design Document as directed by the supervisor or above.- Packages and supports deployment of releases.- Assist on creation and maintenance of software technical documentation- Participates in scoping with their supervisor or above based on the work specified.- Provides maintenance software fixes and support to the business to ensure the business is running and growing. This role is capable of prioritizing support work because this role understands business urgency but may need to work with their supervisor on prioritization of project work.- Analyzes and documents how the business requirements fit into existing system- Assist others in refining system specifications- Participate in gathering specifications from users- Translate detailed program specifications for less complex problems and clearly defined segments of more complex programs into coded computer instructions- Create and/ or modify programs to adapt to changes in needs and requirements- Test coded program routines and revise to eliminate errors, with supervision- Review test results with users, complete final program documentation, and obtain approval for changes- Assist in on-the-job training of less experienced programmersMinimum Skills and Competencies:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
