Ciudad de Mexico, Guadalajara,** **Mexico City**, **Monterrey)**Division**: Corporate Offices**What will you do?**- Be part of our team responsible for designing, writing, and delivering software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Thermo Fisher Scientific's services.- Work with a team of software and systems engineers on projects for users responsible for uptime.- Support end-to-end availability and performance of key services.- Build automation to prevent problems recurrence.- Automate a response to all non-exceptional service conditions.- Be part of on-call rotations across continents, using a follow-the-sun model.**How will you get here?****Education**- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering required.**Experience**- 4+ years of experience writing code and knowledge of networking tools, operating systems, and storage.- Experience with Linux and Unix- Understanding of AWS or Virtualization technologies.- Understanding of programming languages such as Python and Shell- Experience with Kubernetes/EKS/terraform/AWS/Akamai- Experience in participating in MIMs (Major Incident Management)- Experience in logging monitoring solutions such as Datadog or Splunk- Provide engineering support related to OS troubleshooting.- Create operational automation to assist the team in repeatable tasks.- Support the functionality of AWS environments.- Contribute to reliable operations which include design, analysis, and task completion.- Provide feedback on process improvements.- Experience and knowledge of corporate infrastructure and operations**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-functional team.- Willingness to improve infrastructure environment.- Customer-focused mindset- Desire to guide other engineers in area of expertise.
