Applies advanced knowledge of development principles. Designs, develops, tests java-based application software. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve delivery of daily work. Champions needs of customer community and user experience enhancements. Acts as technical point of contact for a subset of larger project. Coaches/mentors others in application, platform, and/or global architectural standards. Actively engages in and readily adapts to software development engineering best practices. Enthusiastic participant in team-centric development practices. Provides tactical and technical support on tasks. Able to serve as both team member or team lead on different portions of work efforts. Shares knowledge with others and assists new team members. Who we are looking for in this role: 5+ years Java Development / DevOps background. 5+ years of experience developing in an Agile team environment using iterative techniques. (Preferably SAFe) Informed team member who can exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures. Analyzing and Solving problems Maintaining and reading pre-existing code Experience developing, deploying or supporting commercial, customer facing solutions (either distributed or mainframe applications). Experience using XML processing technologies like JiBX, JAXB. Experience with test-driven development (JUnit, Mockito). Strong written and verbal communication skills.
