STEAM Connect is seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar Installer to join our renewable energy team.
The Solar Installation Engineer will play a vital role in installing and maintaining solar energy systems, ensuring they are installed efficiently and meet high-quality standards.
This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
Solar Panel Installation: Perform the physical installation of solar panels, mounting systems, and associated components on residential or commercial roofs, ground-mounted arrays, or other designated locations.
Electrical Wiring: Connect solar panels to inverters and electrical systems following design specifications and safety protocols.
Ensure proper wiring, grounding, and testing of systems.
Roof Assessment: Evaluate the condition of roofs and structures to determine their suitability for solar panel installation.
Identify any necessary repairs or reinforcements.
Equipment Handling: Safely handle, transport, and install solar panels, inverters, mounting hardware, and other equipment.
Use proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent damage.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks during and after installation to ensure all components are securely and accurately installed.
Address any issues promptly.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations on job sites, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
Report safety concerns or incidents immediately.
Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate records of installation activities, including photographs, measurements, and equipment serial numbers.
Ensure proper documentation for warranty purposes.
Customer Interaction: Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during the installation process.
Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs on existing solar energy systems as needed.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues to ensure optimal system performance.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry best practices, technological advancements, and safety standards related to solar installations.
Participate in training and development opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS: Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Renewable Energies Engineering or equivalent.

Previous experience in solar panel installation or a related field is preferred but not strictly required.
Knowledge of electrical wiring and basic construction principles.
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
