.**Overview**:**Position 1: Medical Scheduler and Interpreter Job Description**- Welcomes patients and visitors on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries.- Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments by telephone.- Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patients' arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.- Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties and answering patients' questions while translating the sessions to patients' parents.- Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.- Protects patients' rights by maintaining the confidentiality of medical and personal information.**Position Schedule: MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SCHEDULE BELOW**- **Full-time**_40 hours per week 10:30 am-7 pm, (M-TH) Fridays 9 am-5:30 pm (Eastern Standard Time)**Daily Tasks**:- Specific Duties:_- Schedules new patients for evaluations and ongoing appointments- Translates for therapy treatment sessions and assessments virtually- Places phone calls to patient families to collect medical history, schedule preferences, and other necessary information- Cultivates and maintains strong partnerships with other healthcare providers to support referral business- Faxing prescription requests and collecting patient documents from pediatricians- Obtains and records all new patient information- Requests relevant documentation from pediatricians, psychologists, schools, and parents- Contacts insurance companies to ensure prior approval requirements are met- Schedules new patients for evaluations and first-time visits- Translates for therapy treatment sessions and assessments- Precisely records data in EMR software**Qualifications**:- Must be bilingual (fluent in Spanish and English); both verbal and writtenskills are required- Expert relationship builder and customer service skills, building sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication- Strong attention to detail; ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing all tasks- Active problem solver; ability to identify issues and create immediate resolutions without oversight- Possess (or willing to learn) full knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and current federal/state laws regarding the release of health information and confidentiality- Some colleges preferred; 1-4 years- Drug-free environment- Must pass a background check**Position 2: Marketing Coordinator****About us**:Applied Pediatrics/Atlanta Pediatric Therapy has been staffing school districts, locally, and all over the US for almost 20 years.
