Trinity Industries is looking for a Sr. Analyst, Accounts Payable in our Queretaro, MX office.
What you'll do: Partner with critical external vendors to resolve issues and enhance and optimize internal processes (e.g. processing PO and Non-PO invoices, working On-Hold reports, managing Discounts, etc.)Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of 1099 and 1042 filings leveraging Oracle Cloud Financials and/or other third-party softwareMonitor inbound/outbound integrations to/from Oracle Cloud Financials and perform root cause analysis of errors and partner with IT to resolveIdentify and implement automation (including AI) to improve end-to-end procure-to-pay processes including collaboration with Procurement, Accounting, IT, and external vendorsCreate and maintain AP process documentation (workflows, narratives, and other supporting material)Drive supplier compliance with Trinity invoice submission requirements and use of the OCF supplier portalPartner with Trinity's OCF managed service provider to resolve support tickets, test quarterly Oracle releases, and implement enhancementsServe as SME on cross-functional projects, including future Phases of OCF and the integration of new businessesPrepare KPI metrics and operational status reports for leadershipExecute controls and ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, audit, and other applicable requirements; maintain appropriate supporting documentationServe as a mentor/trainer for new employeesEnsure compliance with relevant corporate policies and proceduresDrive cost savings and value to the organizationAdvance Accounting Shared Services by enhancing AP process efficiency and automationOversee compliance with performance metrics and SLAsManage critical AP processes, including month-end close processesCollaborate with Procurement, Vendors, and other internal departments to streamline Procure to Pay workflowsAnalyze complex issues, coordinate with stakeholders, and propose/implement solutionsLead small to medium projects and serve as AP SME on enterprise projectsIdentify cost reduction opportunitiesWhat you'll need: Bachelor's Degree required5+ years AP experience in a shared service environment preferredAbility to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in an accurate, efficient, and timely mannerAdvanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Bilingual speaking and writing skills (English/Spanish) requiredStrong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively engage all levels within the organization
