Sr. Analyst Cost Accounting

**Job Description Summary**: The position will support the daily manufacturing performance at one of BD's manufacturing operations by providing detailed cost analysis, preparing monthly reports, researching variances to standards, budget, and forecasts, and works closely with the operations team to drive continuous improvement. The person will also assist the Sr. Manager in the preparation of the annual plant budget.
- Provide general accounting and reporting support for a manufacturing plant.
- Analyze and explain variances between forecasts, budget, and actual results.
- Communicate clearly with the finance and operations team on the plant's performance.
- Prepare month-end analyses for close meeting.
- Work with cross functional teams to set budget and update forecasts for their business area monthly.
- Demonstrate understanding of source documentation, research variances, and propose corrections.
- Make decisions, often difficult and/or unpopular, by carefully weighing pros and cons and acting in accordance with GAAP.
- Leverage customer knowledge to develop alternative solutions and shares key learning's with others.
- Participate in various teams' related activities to ensure proper SOX controls and compliance with Company policies.
- Inventory Reporting Metrics and other KPI's.
- Set Annual Manufacturing Standard Costs along with analysis of these items.
- Ability to work with mínimal guidance.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
