Job Overview
- Responsibilities:
- Collaborate across multiple time zones with global product engineering teams, manufacturing resources, and quality resources to achieve technical, quality, cost, and delivery goals.
- Interface with product, manufacturing, and quality engineers to ensure timely introduction of new and sustaining products to the production floor.
- Support completing technical documentation for product engineering and manufacturing.
- Support the engineering change process (-115/ECR/ECN) by interacting with various functional teams to ensure engineering change is clearly understood and properly executed.
- Support manufacturing and quality on processing issues related to product design/requirements.
- Support translating production drawings into manufacturable work instructions that can be understood by the manufacturing facility to assure a reliable product.
- Provide product engineering support during product quote phase which includes identifying tooling, verifying testing capabilities, estimating test dongle cost, estimating and/or confirming quoted labor/routings.
- Support product engineering in responding to customer issues/complaints.
- Support quality and manufacturing with root cause analysis and corrective actions for material, manufacturing, and electrical problems.
- Work with project management (PjM) to assure product engineering commitments are met.
- Support product engineering at identifying VAVE/TEBIT opportunities for new and sustaining products.
What your background should look like:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Must be accountable and own it.
- Excellent written and oral communications both in English and Spanish.
- Demonstrated hands-on manufacturing skills for cable assemblies.
- Experience using CAD software like AutoCAD/(ZWCAD) or Creo.
- Experience using industry workmanship standards like IPC-620.
- Experience using industry soldering standards like J-STD-001.
- Experience using SAP for checking routings, MBOMs, orders etc.
- Experience using Microsoft office.
