Innovate to solve the world's most important challengesLead a Quality organization at the Tijuana site that applies its expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve quality output and continuous improvements working with Operations, Engineering, Operations AME and Sourcing. You will lead the strategic direction and initiatives that ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agencies, government regulations and engineering specifications while instilling site accountability for governance of the Quality System, product acceptance and product quality.
Key Responsibilities Maintains and monitors quality performance metrics. Leads the deployment of quality improvement strategies through functional teams, and coordinates with support functions to ensure customer quality satisfaction.Leads the development and deployment of quality assurance best practices throughout the site; defines yearly goals & objectives aligned with business strategies; supports implementation teams to ensure Quality leadership goals are met, as well as the assessment and action planning of maturity path to Quality Vision.Implements process-based quality system by creating methodology for process yield reporting.Develops and properly executes the internal and external audit program to measure the overall compliance and effectiveness of the quality management system. Ensures compliance to contract and customer requirements and safety regulatory requirements.Documents work through work instructions and policy and procedures and ensures proper implementation of those requirements.Resolves quality related issues with suppliers, customers and production through strong cross-functional leadership.Develops and deploys a Management Review process that requires site leadership engagement, to assure the effectiveness of the site's overall Quality Management System (Audits, RCCA, VOC, Regulatory compliance, etc). All aspects of Quality Assurance as well as interfacing with manufacturing to ensure proper flow of information and data for continued product support.Hires, trains and develops quality team at the site.Participates in Lean/Six Sigma activity to drive continuous improvement across the site.Facilitates and executes projects leading to standardization, simplifying, and improving existing quality systems, and utilizes Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to evaluate and prevent escapes/defects.
