Reporting to the Procurement Manager the Sr Strategic Buyer will be responsible for Leads the procurement of key materials, parts, supplies, and equipment for manufacturing in order to optimize pricing and delivery terms. Reviews current suppliers and identifies areas where pricing opportunities may exist. Leads pricing negotiations.
About the job:
- Develop and deploy a strategy for assigned Indirect category with emphasis on aligning with the business objectives. Plan and lead sourcing and supplier strategies to achieve best cost and service that are aligned with business priorities and operational needs.- Sourcing and Contracts - Drive sourcing projects emerging from category planning. Enhance competition by leveraging spend and qualified new suppliers. Deep dive current spend information/data to identify sourcing projects for categories, and develop an overall cost reduction plan, scorecards and continuous improvements plans. Negotiates and develops contract terms & Conditions including SLA & pricing.- Execute strategic sourcing best practices, and initiatives that support improvements in supplier quality, total cost effectiveness, enhanced services levels, improved coordination, delivery, pricing, lead times, payment, risk compliance and other areas as identified.- Execute strategic sourcing best practices, and initiatives that support improvements in supplier quality, total cost effectiveness, enhanced services levels, improved coordination, delivery, pricing, lead times, payment, risk compliance and other areas as identified.- Location: Piedras Negras, Coahuila (Hybrid)
About you:
- Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or related field. MBA or other advance degree preferred.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or similar roles.- Experience with global manufacturing companies preferred- Advanced knowledge in MS Office- Strong analytical skills- Strong communication skills- High attention to detail
