This role will lead the development and deployment of supplier performance efforts/activities for the Americas region. They will promote a lean culture and mindset of continuous improvement and will work closely with planning, materials management, procurement, operations, master data management, engineering, and quality functions to improve internal processes related to supplier performance management, evaluation/monitoring of suppliers, development of supplier's establishment of supplier performance targets.**Responsabilities**:- Enable Vertiv's Supply base to become an extension of Vertiv through achieving and exceeding exemplary levels of delivery, value, quality, and technology performance essential for Vertiv to serve and delight its customers.- Support Vertiv's Strategic Objectives by working to ensure Supplier Performance meets/exceeds needs of internal and/or external Customers.- Lead supply chain process improvement - internal and external - projects.- Support production transfer projects among suppliers based on predefined agreements- Work with Materials, Operations and Suppliers to ensure adequate capacity to support production requirements.- Facilitates the ongoing supplier business review process.- Provide general technical process support as required to resolving supply chain issues- Deliver significant and quantifiable process improvement processes and financial benefit across the organization.- Train and guide others to support the department strategy and business plans.- Identify project and process metrics. Track progress and implement continuous improvement processes. Audit and assess as necessary.- Train and guide employees in new processes.**Requirements**:- Understanding of lean manufacturing, process improvement, problem solving, and project management principles are required.- Solid business management skills and reputation as a change agent.- Ability to communicate and train others.- Execution oriented, with a strong sense of urgency around tangible results.- Project Management Skills - ability to organize and communicate. Use goals to guide actions and create detailed action plans and processes.- Quality, inventory management and planning systems (MRP, ERP) skills- Materials management experience- Data analysis tools (Excel, PowerBI, Minitab)- Process Mapping tools (Visio)- BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related area.- Prefer a minimum 7 years' experience in supply chain/operations.- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence (Green Belt, Black Belt, Lean Certified etc.)- 10% travel requirements.
