The Project Manager will plan, execute, and control the development of strategic projects of existing and new products following Localization and Vertical Integration Strategies and lead Change Management and processes within the Automotive Organization in Hermosillo.
Major projects will be related to manufacturing location changes from Europe, Asia Pacific and North America (including TE Sites from USA, MX and BR), to TE Hermosillo including any other project needed for overall improvements on margin and efficiencies.
**Responsibilities**:
- Overall responsibility for successful sustaining project(s) execution / Change Management Process - to meet the project charter(s).
- Leadership: be a role model for regional TE project members as appropriate and represent to our customers a person with the highest integrity, a positive attitude, technical competence, a strong work ethic, and a high level of project management professionalism.
- Engineering: Manage and maintain up to date molding segment capacity analysis to be aligned with NPI, Vertical Integration, Localization, and other projects that have an impact with Molding Capacity.
- Cost control: Manage sustaining projects capital expenditures to stay within budget and ensure that the cost performance metrics of net throughput, material consumption / avoid obsolescence and labor content are realized.
- Communications: develop the project communication plan, lead weekly project reviews with customers, hold periodic internal project reviews as needed, report project progress, and manage and influence stakeholder expectations.
- Planning: Lead and develop effective project plans including the core areas of project integration, timing, costs, risk management, communications, project quality, human resources, procurement planning, and scope.
- Risk management: Effectively create, monitor, and control risk management plans.
- Customer management: Perform integrated change management control including establishing the change management procedure, maintaining the risk register, and getting payment from customers for agreed upon changes.
**What your background should look like**:
**Education**:
- Bachelor's degree on Engineering or another related field
- PMP certification highly desirable.
**Professional experience**:
- +5 years of engineering or manufacturing experience and +3 years of demonstrated Project Management experience managing capacity, replacement, and process transfer projects.
- Experience in managing teams in multiple regions.
- Automotive industry experience.
**Specific qualification, knowledge, and skills**:
- Demonstrated knowledge of TE (Microsoft) Project
- Must have high experience of SAP system.
- Functional knowledge of cost models and P&L statements
- Experience on Molding Capacity segmentation and Molds/IMM characteristics is a plus.
- Experience at tier-1 automotive supplier or OEM supplier is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Strong aptitude for problem solving.
- Familiarity with the TE Gate and project lifecycle processes.
- Knowledge of AIAG PPAP change management and customer notification requirements.
- Must be able to effectively work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards
- Knowledge of Safety and Environment Regulations and Procedures.
- Uses established guidelines, procedures, and policies to meet objectives.
