From semiconductors to sensors, switches to fuses, we produce billions of electronic components that help our customers empower a sustainable, connected, and safer world.In 2021, Littelfuse had net sales of $2.1 billion.Reporting to the Sr Procurement Manager, you as a Strategic Buyer will be responsible for purchasing and negotiating the direct materials from vendors.Provides strong day-to-day support of manufacturing operations in providing support appropriate to attaining On Time Delivery and Cost Containment for Strategic and Base Business customers.About The JobSource materials following established purchasing policies and procedures to optimize price, delivery, and payment terms with minimum supervision.Provide Procurement support for Annual Cost Reduction goals/budgets.Responsible for initiatives to positively impact the Purchase Price Variance (PPV).Work with cross-functional teams for cost reduction projects.Support fulfillment team for on-time delivery by expediting open orders, seeking out alternative materials and alternate supply sources.Provide the Procurement function in the New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change (ECO) process in an exceptionally timely way to prevent NPI/ECO delays that could negatively affect demand fulfillment support or result in loss of New Business.Support payment term negotiation to achieve DPO (Days Payables Outstanding) target.Facilitate supplier consolidation and localization initiatives.About You:Relevant BS degree or equivalent work experience in Procurement.Bilingual in English and Spanish with strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.Two years minimum experience in the area of procurement in manufacturing or related environment.Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP is highly desired.The Category Management experience for the following commodities and knowledge of the Mexico supplier base is highly desired: electronic components, printed circuit boards, metal fabrication, fasteners, raw material (metals), injection molding parts.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrated ability to multi-task, with strong follow-up skills. Strong ability to understand and adjust to priorities.Ability to coordinate and track activities by metrics.Job is available for Virtual/Remote work within Mexico but requires occasional travel to suppliers or Littelfuse Plants
