Strategic Commodity Specialist

Job Description:Job Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct commodity and industry trend analysis to show future trends for the assigned commodities as related to cost drivers and new technologies.Develop and implement approved strategies for assigned commodities that actively search for performance improvement and cost reduction opportunities by understanding customer needs, supply market trends, and innovation.Manage the total lifecycle of a supplier contract, including submission to legal, expiration alerts, within the commodities assigned.Conduct and follow up Purchase Price Variance (PPV) activities, budgeting, forecasting, actual, and annual price negotiations as well as any other initiatives for assigned commodities.Responsibilities:Excellent people skills, project management skills, good business acumen, and a team player.Proactive and result-oriented.Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.Fluent in English.Deep expertise in multiple commodities, including knowledge of market trends, pricing, and negotiation.Experience working at an automotive company and established contacts within the industry.Proactive, organized, and strategic, able to take initiative and make informed decisions without constant supervision.Strong analytical and leadership skills, able to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proficiency in presenting to senior executives.Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree.4+ Years of Strategic Sourcing experience in the manufacturing industry within his/her category/commodity.#J-18808-Ljbffr
