JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for supervising and leading the materials department, maintaining raw material inventories at the levels required by the company to meet customer expectations on time.
Prepares production plans consistent with demand forecasts and plant capabilities, analyzes the adequacy of tooling at plants to meet projected volume and mix, and is integrally involved in all phases of capacity planning for the associated production facilities.
Minimum Requirements:
1. University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. 6 Years suggested minimum experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Review of demand and accumulated with supplier.
2.
Manage the assigned human resources in the best way according to the client's requirements.
3. Maintain raw material inventory levels within established limits.
4. Control and measurement of inventory accuracy and ensure FIFO management in the materials area.
5. Coordination of the sending of the requirements to the supplier and review of the authorizations of the suppliers.
6. Maintain communication with the quality, finance, and engineering purchasing department to coordinate the input and output of models and/or engineering changes.
7. Responsible for Continuous Improvement within the Department's Activities.
8. Coordination of balance out and claims to suppliers.
9. Responsible for complying according to their position with the requirements of AMS (Adient Manufacturing System), BOS (Business Operating System), internal policies such as Ethics, Standard 035, as well as compliance with the IATF 16949, ISO Quality standard 14001, ISO 45001, meet specific customer requirements.
10. Prevention of PPSC's (Potential Product Safety Issue).
11. Actively supports the safety program and objectives,
such as safety tours, reporting unsafe conditions and acts, participating in investigations of incidents/accidents that occurred within their area of responsibility, as well as identifying and documenting root causes in 8D's reports with their action plans, communicating all relevant changes to EHS in their area of responsibility that could indirectly affect the Safety, Health and Environment program.
12. Participates and supports the monitoring of the ergonomic program, including work breaks as applicable to their position.
13. Supports compliance with the CTPAT program by promoting a drug-free policy.
Skills:
1. Management of computer packages.
2. Knowledge in the area of inventory management and materials control.
3. Supplier management, strategic planning,
purchasing process, business techniques, management of indicators, MRP, ERP Inventory System (SAP or MFG).
4. Cyclical inventory and inventory reliability.
5. Budget management (forecast).
Language Requirements:
Read, write, and speak English at 90% proficiency.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in Expediting and Programming.
