Position objective:
Directs the programming activities of the Extrussion, oversees program execution, oversees archived production performance, supports the execution team in troubleshooting, verifies the organization and cleanliness of work areas, develops and implements production projects, processes, procedures, instructions, and systems to meet the objectives of the extrusion department.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor degree Engineering industrial or chemical
- Minimum 5 Year in Automotive Sector.
- Desirable experience in Cable Manufacturing, extrusion processes and with plastic PVC and polyethylene
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Six Sigma Tools knowledge
- Products functionality control
- Core Tools knowledge
- IATF 16949 knowledge
- Microsoft Office proficient
- 70% English
Main responsibilities:
- Implements the section, organization, policy, processes, procedures, instruction, visual and information systems of the Metal section and cross-functional improvement projects in line with the corporate standard.
- Conducts and performs metal bundling copper calculation and programming activities, such as developing grouping schedules, multiple drawing and rod drawing, including production requirements such as days needed, shifts and machine calculation and item allocation by machine.
- Supervisa el progreso diario del programa Extrusion de Cable, define y realiza actualizaciones de cronogramas apropiadas para garantizar la disponibilidad de productos semielaborados, tiempos optimizados y resultados de calidad, velocidad eficiente y menor consumo de materias primas y herramientas y cantidades de chatarra (cobre) y PVC generadas para cumplir los objetivos
- Monitors the daily progress of the Cable Extrussion program, defines and updates appropriate schedules to ensure the availability of semi-finished products, optimized times and quality results, efficient speed and lower consumption of raw materials and tools and quantities of scrap (copper) generated to meet the objectives
- Closely follows the production execution in the workshop, makes a diagnosis of the problems reported within the extrusion section (repair, broken wire, excessive consumption of raw material, organization and cleaning of work areas (5S), etc.), defines and supports the production execution team in the deployment of immediate corrective actions. Implements and monitors the results in the field of the defined action plan.
- Reviews the first level maintenance activities of metal lines and their related equipment, defines and monitors the implementation of the required actions. Contributes to the development for the acquisition or renewal of new technical equipment and tools, and performs the technical reception of new equipment and tools acquired.
- Reviews the KPIs of the Metal section and proposes, accordingly, plans for continuous improvement of processes, procedures and systems to comply with the Production Department and the objectives of the Company.
- Contributes to the development of the Extrussion Cable section team (evaluation of technical performance, training, coaching).
- Complies with the requirements of quality and safety and hygiene systems, minimizing negative impacts and carrying out each activity considering our commitments and environmental objectives.
- Stop production when quality, productivity and safety are at risk.
