Join our KB Rail Mexico team in our next steps.JOB DESCRIPTION:Position SummaryMust assure raw materials that arrive in plant comply with specification to the company's drawings protecting production lines and customers as well. Maintain communications with suppliers to assure opportunities and corrective actions are implemented until these are found effective by creating systemic approach on ongoing issues. It reports to the Supplier Quality Lead.Essential FunctionsEnsure Supplier Quality Assurance and control functions related to production suppliers and deliver product that exceeds customer expectations.Continuous improvement of production purchased suppliers.Notify Supplier of Defects and lead the containment and Problem Solving until the issue is closed.Monitor a group of selected commodities for all company's locations.Review and audit supplier corrective actions to assure Quality Assurance and Avoid re incidences.Monitor supplier PPM's to achieve and sustain corporate goals.Participate in manufacturability reviews (transitions, tool replacement, and new product launches).Review supplier PPAP's to assure overall content is correct and within specification.Review COPQ charge backs and assure debits are being processed.Review ORQ data entry for accuracy, and conduct supplier visits as required.Participate in Supplier Continuous Improvement Meetings (SCI).Participate in new project launch for the plants.Support PSA activities and procedures with team members.No time constraints to finish pending action items.Attend Daily Shop Floor Management Meetings and Department Functional Meetings to assure on time escalation of issues.As well performs all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.Adhere to the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System. Take responsibility for those aspects of the system over which they have control.KnowledgePPAP exposure.General knowledge of ISO/IATF-16949.Systemic approaches and root cause analysis.Quality Core Tools.Experience2-3 years SAP experience.Minimum 3-4 years' experience in Quality Assurance systems (Supplier related preferred).Pneumatic systems (Preferred).Plastic or Machining (CNC) experience (Preferred).Blue Print Interpretation and GD&T exposure.Skills:Sense of urgency.Process adherence.Proactive.Team player
