Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network.
The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications.
The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Purpose: Ensure that supply chain platforms continuously deliver value, aligning system capabilities with business strategy, process and requirements.
The Supply Chain Solutions Lead will own the system roadmap, manage key implementations and upgrades, and lead change management to drive usability and adoption.
They will also oversee cross-functional analytics, supporting data-driven insights and strategic initiatives required by the business.
Responsibilities Manage the lifecycle of the platform developing and executing a roadmap that aligns with business requirements, supporting long-term strategy.
Ensure supply chain platform consistently delivers value by engaging stakeholders and business leaders.
Lead team that includes Analysts and Power Users, providing guidance on system configuration and local adaptations, best practice standards, training and troubleshooting.
Track usability metrics globally and ensure off-system exceptions generating value leakage are addressed.
Ensure standardization and global distribution of system configuration improvements.
Collaborate with IT to ensure business requirements are addressed with optimal design.
Coordinate user acceptance and production validation testing with business users for requested enhancements.
Own and execute change management plans to promote user adoption and ensure smooth transitions during system updates or process changes.
Own training plans and resources, system or process change communication.
Work closely with Supply Chain Leadership and stakeholders to update on changes and ensure proper prioritization of system enhancements.
Leverage Lean, Agile and other methodologies to lead projects related to: o Strategic initiatives that leverage the system or functional processes for broader business objectives.
o System upgrades, expansions, and new implementations to enhance functionality.
Qualifications: Required Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in supply chain, systems management, or a related role with exposure to system configuration and optimization.
Must have strong knowledge and experience deploying/maintaining advanced supply planning systems (e.g., 09, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder/JDA, SAP IBP, OMP).
Experience leading a supply chain team or overseeing system analysts or power users.
Strong project management skills, with experience managing cross-functional projects and working with multiple stakeholders.
Familiarity with change management principles, especially in technology or system adoption.
Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into business-friendly terms.
Deep understanding of ERP systems like SAP ECC & S/4 Hana or similar.
Basic understanding of programming or scripting for system customization (e.g., Python, VBA, JavaScript, or similar) Understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Machine Learning, with knowledge of their applications in supply chain management with ability to identify potential business use cases.
Preferred Certifications in APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or PMP, or similar project management/supply chain certifications.
Experience with Lean, Agile, or similar methodologies.
Familiarity with SQL, data management, or analytics tools for reporting and insights.
Experience coordinating with IT on system design to ensure alignment with business needs and technical capabilities.
