**Tactical Buyer**
Cuernavaca, Morelos (Hybrid)
**Position Summary**
Thales is looking for a **Tactical Buyer **who is primarily for all Purchase Order creation, changes, and cancellation along with being the primary point of contact with the supplier communication.
In this position, you will also be responsible for securing the best procurement solution (quality, price and timing), meeting the customer's needs and aligned with the relevant Procurement Strategy lead by the Category Buyers & Managers. Tactical buyers also have the responsibility of managing disputes that may arise throughout the process.
**Key Areas of Responsibility**
- Transform Purchase Requisitions (PRs) into Purchase Orders (POs).
- Review and ensure accuracy of the PO including but not limited to: ship-to location, supplier information, and relevant notes/comments.
- Ensure supplier acknowledgement of Purchase Order receipt and delivery commitment.
- Manage purchase order cancellation, rescheduling or PO information changes (quantity, price, and requirements).
- Follow-up and expediting of purchase orders and requests from user through the Ticket Service.
- Manage local negotiations within the (DOA) Delegation of Authority thresholds and in alignment with Regional Procurement Category Managers and Buyers.
- Report on procurement projects status.
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business.
- 3 or more years of experience in Supply chain, indirect/direct buyer
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
- Experience with MS Office, ERP's (SAP, Oracle, etc).
- Data Bases management experience.
- Strong communicator and negotiator, analytical, results-oriented, customer-oriented, a strong time manager, autonomous, honest, and empathetic.
