Job DescriptionThis application refers to a Cost Management Talent Pool from which we will be redirecting candidates into Assistant, Professional, and Senior Professional roles within our company, mainly focusing on positions based in Mexico.Assisting on feasibility studies and writing procurement reportsEstimating and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost planDevelopment of cost proceduresTendering and procuring, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, putting the preliminaries together, tender analysis, producing the tender report, and compiling the contractual documentsDealing effectively with post-contract cost variances and change control processes, referring major changes to the line manager where applicableReview and approve subcontractor proposals, manage contracts, and change requestsTaking personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate cost checking and valuationAnalyze the project budget, monitor expenditure and costs against delivered products and servicesReview payment applications, monitor invoicing, and ensure payments are in orderReport progress at regular intervals with the Senior Cost Manager, manage communications with all stakeholders until project delivery and financial closeout, produce monthly post-contract cost reports, and present them to the clientReview monthly reports as presented by Contractor and present to the Senior Cost Manager and ClientNegotiating and agreeing final accountsInterfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stagesWhere appropriate, leading a cost management team to ensure they deliver on all accountabilitiesFinancial management – Utilizing Financial Management Systems to keep track of ongoing margin levelsProcess improvement – Identifying ways to improve internal systems and processes and referring ideas to the appropriate line managerKnowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning from each commission is input into the Turner & Townsend internal database: share systemized lessons learnedThe job holder is required to carry out all tasks within their level of skill and abilityQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 8 years professional experience in Cost Management for Real Estate projects, preferably Corporate OfficesExperience working on site.
