You will manage the Hotels' tax compliance, tax planning, and accounting for sales and income taxes. You will partner with businesses, service providers, and other tax professionals. You will work with our internal financial management team and third-party service providers.Oversee the accurate filing of federal and state sales and income taxes including all related analysis and supportEnsure the compliance of local tax requirements, including the review and preparation of tax returns and coordination with external consultantsResponsible for audits of federal and state taxes. Manage tax disputes and resolutions with close collaboration with finance teamsAssist with research and implementation of tax processes and make appropriate recommendations from a tax perspective. This includes partnering with stakeholders.Identify tax digitalization and automate tax processes (e.G. electronic invoices)Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislationSupervise a team of six (6) - (2 supervisors report directly to this position)Ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place over Mexican taxesWhat are we looking for?The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:Management experience within the leisure sectorWillingness to mentor Team MembersFlexibility to respond to a range of different work situationsYou have these minimum qualifications:Eight (8) years minimum of related work experience
