Your Role and Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with different internal teams such as developers, engineers, service personnel, qualification experts, and project managers to obtain in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
- Develop content for print and online documentation
- Provide detailed status and progress on a regular basis
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
- At least 1-2 year of experience as a technical writer
- Ability to work with a global team of experienced developers and writers
- Good outlining and topic organization skills for existing and new documents
- Good Subject-Matter Expert (SME) interviewing skills, along with self-research skills
- Familiarity with the Agile development process
- Self-managing, independent, and proactive, requiring mínimal supervision
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Formal technical writing course
- Experience in creating diagrams and graphics
- Experience using GitHub Enterprise/GitHub Desktop for the document repository of source files
- Knowledge and experience in DITA, structured writing, topic-based authoring, content tagging, and content reuse
- Understanding of IBM Digital Content Services (DCS), and using IBM Doc Manager and Workflow Manager (WFM) for content publishing
- Familiarity with the IBM Style Guide
- Familiarity with the latest storage technologies, implementations, and products
