In this role you will become part of the team who is responsible for various tasks, but the main responsibility is Product classification for customs purposes. As our new Global Trade Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the import and export compliance program in Danfoss by playing a key role in ensuring that the regulatory requirements and business processes associated with cross-border movements function smoothly, while also ensuring that issues and risks are identified and managed efficiently. **Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Product classification for Customs purposes of Danfoss Produced and externally Procured materials (WCO commodity codes)
- Communication with Product managers and Engineers and maintenance of Classification documentation
- Participation in Challenge resolutions on classification issues
- Continuously monitor and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
- Communication with and support of the Local Trade Compliance representatives as a single point of contact for Trade Compliance matters
- Support Sanction party and Embargo screening.
**Background & Skills**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or international studies,
- 3-5 years experience in Trade Compliance including product classification, country of origin determination and awareness of export control matters.
- Experience within product classification is required, together with demonstrated expertise in customs issues and issue resolution.
- Experience with SAP R3 and/or S4 ERP Platforms, including experience with the Compliance Management and Customs Management components of SAP Global Trade Services (GTS).
