- The Human Resources function specializes in providing human resources (HR) support to a major business unit or functional area.
This includes any issues relating to talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations, training and development, and HR operations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conducts supervisory, management or nontechnical skills training courses for internal staff.
Uses needs assessment tools to determine effectiveness of proposed training programs.
Interacts with functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses.
Prepares lesson plans including the method, media, and documentation to be presented.
Instructs participants in classroom lectures and/or group sessions.
Conducts follow up to determine applicability of course material.

- Work environment is typically considered within a Smiths location during normal or extended business hours to include offices, manufacturing plants and repair facilities.
Work environment may also include customer sites including oil well sites, and meeting venues.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and approved PPE is required when on the factory floor.
- Responsible for Determining the Training, Development and Employee Orientation Needs - within the different areas of the Company.
- Implements the Training, Development and Employee Orientation Programs, contacting - specialized Companies, Educational Institutions, and outside Consultants to update the - inventory of courses.
- Can Participate in the Preparation and Administration of Objectives, Training and Development - Budgets, Validates the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and submits them to the - Managerial Level for Approbation - Controls the Selection, Production and Acquisition of Training Material and submits them for - approval to Management.
- Coordinates and/or Participates in the Implementation of the Training and Development - Courses required by the Training Program.
- Evaluates the Effectiveness of the Training and Development Program and proposes - recommendations for improvement.
- Assures the Integrity of the Training and Development Process Data Base to meet the Legal - requirements as the applicable International Certifications (ISO-QS—.).
- Responsible for Documenting and Registering before the corresponding Authorities, the - Training and Development Programs.
- Participates in the Implementation of the Organizational Culture.
- Participates in the Implementation of Motivational Programs, Social, Cultural, Recreational and - Sporting Events as well as Activities to Support the Community.
- Can Participate in the Selection, Training, Development, Motivation, and Evaluation of his/her - Staff.
