.About the Role:Imagine being part of the General Property team in Mexico focused mainly on Mexico Direct business!We are responsible for underwriting accounts and growing the book of business as well as for developing and handling client/broker relationships.The position includes underwriting, client management and marketing tasks, as well as the administration of your own client portfolio, and the analysis of coverage (namely Property Damage and Business Interruption), exposures, wordings, premium calculation, and the technical insurability/re-insurability of General Property risks.We lead the analysis and negotiation of terms and conditions with both clients and brokers, being accountable for the appropriate contractual documentation of the risks.In this role, you will be working with existing and prospective brokers and clients to develop new business and profitably grow the book of business. We have a shared challenge of maintaining and developing strategic relationships with key broker producers and clients, and, where necessary, making presentations about our underwriting capabilities. We team up with other areas in and out of Corporate Solutions to maximize cross-selling traditional and non-traditional opportunities.Key activities:Renew allocated existing book of business and underwrite new business opportunities profitably.Lead marketing activities to build up and maintain visibility of the local office among the various players in the market, establishing and maintaining industry know-how, e.G. by attending site inspections where necessary.Negotiate final terms & conditions with the broker in line with the business plan and corporate guideline requirements. Service post-underwriting needs.Contribute to the operational needs of the team - individual and departmental, e.G. assisting in premium control issues.About You:Are you a highly motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset? We will be looking forward to meeting you if your experience and profile include:Preferably two (2) to five (5) years of experience in the insurance sector, with fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).Engineering, natural sciences, business or economics, mathematical or analytical background desirable but not required.Good organizational, time management ability as well as interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.Team player with willingness to help and assist others.Able to live in an atmosphere of constant change, with a good ability to prioritize and work with tight schedules.Availability to travel within the region as needed.The Company is an equal opportunity employer.
