Underwritting Assistant

DescriptionHandles clearance of submissions from producers and underwriting folder/file set-up of new/renewal policies; reviews submission and requests missing information from broker.Maintain service standards by responding timely to internal/external partner requests.Rate various lines of business following a set of workflows and guidelines.Maintain underwriting file integrity by ensuring all necessary documents are filed in the policy administration system.Assist underwriters with the creation of quote letters, binders, endorsements, and policies, while ensuring we issue to the brokers within the processing standards established by management.Communicate directly with brokers to confirm or obtain data needed for policy issuance and servicing.Assist underwriters and underwriting services in preparation for underwriting audits and responding to audit results.Qualifications2+ years of experience as an underwriting associate in a non-life insurance company, or business experience with similar duties.Bachelor's Degree.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Strong English written and oral communication skills.Computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Data analysis and interpretation.#J-18808-Ljbffr
