**Job Description Summary**: Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.**Roles and Responsibilities**- Execute, with some guidance, the analysis, design, test and/or integration required to define and support Ignition system Products, assemblies and/or process systems that meet Unison standards and practices, and meet the product/program requirements.- Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Design Customer Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements- Support the business with Finite Element Analysis for Ignition systems products and some Sensors related products- Demonstrate technical capabilities concurrent with the execution of the position's responsibilities- Document technical data generated from working with Ignition system products to substantiate the assigned components, assemblies and/or systems consistent with engineering policies and procedures.- Provide timely communication regarding significant issues or developments- Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews- Solve problems of limited scope and complexity- Utilize Lean tools to improve current business products and processes. Document successful Lean projects via reports and/or presentations.- Concurrently work on multiple projects, monitoring progress and quality, and ensuring schedule requirements are met.- Self-check of work- Propose innovative analysis design, processes, and systems.- Understand input from the different engineering disciplines**Required Qualifications**- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering- Sound understanding of engineering principles relevant to the position- Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.- Able to maintain a normal day-to-day fluid conversation in English on any topic with few mistakes (mistakes that do not affect clear understanding).- Must have fluency, rhythm, and sufficient self-confidence in the language to be able to handle meetings and conversations**Desired Characteristics**- Ansys- Structural Mechanical Knowledge**Additional Information**:**Relocation Assistance Provided**:No
