This role will support both the epay and Ren divisions of Euronet. The Ren division of Euronet deploys its modern, real-time, end-to-end payments technology to financial institutions to provide comprehensive payments experiences for the financial institutions' customers. The epay division of Euronet provides distribution and processing of prepaid mobile airtime and prepaid electronic content, and payment processing services for various prepaid products, cards and services throughout its worldwide distribution network. Summary of Position As part of Euronet's Legal Department, this role will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, structuring, interpreting, advising on and/or administering contractual documents with Euronet's financial institution customers, content suppliers, partners and distribution network members. Additionally, the individual selected will need to become knowledgeable on the various areas of legislation that affect the business and advise on the regulatory implications on projects the business wishes to develop. The Legal Counsel's responsibilities will include: Drafting, reviewing, revising and negotiating general and sophisticated corporate and commercial agreements, including, major account agreements, payment processing agreements, acquiring and issuing agreements, product supply and retail distribution agreements, IT agreements, services agreements, non-disclosure agreements, as well as addenda/amendments and statements of work; Driving contract lifecycle from drafting through completion of the negotiation process and/or contract execution utilizing contract ticketing technology; Partnering with business colleagues globally to achieve balance between Euronet's commercial objectives and risk appetite; Maintaining a deep understanding of Euronet contract templates, contracts policy, legal risk and liability, and company position on various matters; Preparing contracts for internal review and approval and ensuring compliance with company policies as well as applicable laws and regulations; Interpreting contracts and advising business teams on contractual responsibilities; Researching areas of legislation that affect the business; Advising on the regulatory implications of various business endeavors; and Supporting efforts to effectively manage the delivery of legal services to the company. Qualified as a lawyer in a Latin American country; Proficient in reviewing and drafting legal documents in both Spanish and English; A minimum of 4 years of professional legal experience at a law firm and/or within an in-house legal department; Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of corporate and commercial agreements; Basic understanding of agency and buy/sell distribution, competition law, consumer protection law and data protection law; Ability to manage multiple priorities, work efficiently under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines; and Strong legal research and analytical skills required.
