**Summary**:
Incumbents may determine best methods and procedures to follow to complete assignments. Tasks are very complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Decisions/actions may have an impact on the departments goals and may go beyond the department. Works under minimum Supervision. Situations not covered by standard processes, procedures and methods are referred to manager or expert resource. May provide functional guidance to others performing similar work. May be considered the expert in areas assigned. Builds internal and external relationships that require exchanging information and providing some explanations in a problem solving capacity.
**Detailed Description**:
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Assists in the administration of company programs relating to Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Recruitment, or other areas.
- In recruiting, activities may include: executing recruitment plans including job posting, career fairs, information sessions, hiring sessions, interviews etc.
- Handling all incoming applicant files ranging from formal recruitment programs including screening of files, assisting with business units to undertand the skils required, arranging interviews and giving results.
- Coordinates the offer process and potentially related new hire processes.
- In other positions, the individual may act as an administrative representative on projects where transactional activity will occur (i.e. acquisitions, changes to HR programs, process improvements, etc.).
- May assist in benefit enrollment.
- Compiles necessary information as requested.
- Provides customer service support to applicants, employees and management.
- Provides problem resolution to employees regarding Human Resources related issues.
**Knowledge/Skills/Competencies**:
- Knowledge of government legislation.
- Knowledge of company HR policies and practices.
- Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. ~Strong mathematical skills.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent Customer Service skills.
- Ability to perform accurate data entry.
- Ability to develop and maintain vendor relationships.
- Knowledge and experience of generally accepted accounting practices for payroll.
- Ability to evaluate multiple highly detailed tasks, determine priorities and organize work in a manner that allows for timely completion of projects.
- Ability to manage sensitive employee information in a confidential manner.
- Knowledge of HRIS software
- Basic level of demonstrated behaviour in most of the Personal Attributes (refer to the Celestica Competency Framework)
**Physical Demands**:
- Duties of this position are generally performed in good working conditions. Occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Occasional travel may be required.
