SummaryDetailed DescriptionPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
Manages compliance to the site IMMEX program requirements and identifies opportunities for program enhancements.Develops, establishes, and maintains import/export policy, guidelines, and processes that ensure compliance with government customs and trade regulations.Conducts education programs and due diligence to ensure compliance awareness by site employees.Knowledge of product classification requirements for import/export purposes. Ensures communication of any special instruction or requirements to employees and customers.Oversees broker relationship as executed by junior staff, including performance, billings, and systems interface.Responsible for process development, reengineering, implementation, and training relating to operational improvements or legislation changes related to area of responsibility.Acts as a liaison with government bodies including customs, revenue, and trade offices.Interfaces with various levels of Celestica management to ensure processes are in place and working such that we maintain compliance with Logistics processes.Good knowledge of electronics manufacturing environment, materials, and processes.Expert understanding and interpretation of traffic and customs rules and regulations.Knowledge of basic computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and multiple business applications.Commercial and financial awareness, particularly of transportation and logistics costs and regulations.Good financial, analytical, and negotiation skills.Ability to identify and resolve high complexity process/system problems using financial, analytical, and/or statistical models.Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.Physical DemandsDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.Occasional overnight travel may be required.Typical ExperienceSix to eight years of relevant experience.Typical EducationBachelor's degree in a related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.Educational requirements may vary by geography.NotesThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
