As an Interior Cost Engineer for Cockpit components, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and forecasting the costs of developing and producing cockpit parts, ensuring alignment with budgetary targets while maintaining high-quality standards. Your collaboration with engineering, procurement, and production teams will be essential in achieving optimal cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: The Cost Engineer will be responsible to develop technical variable and tooling costs for Engine and adapted Engine components and systems using activity-based costing methodologies while working from BOM (Bill of Materials), drawings and/or samples. The selected candidate provides subject matter expertise to support engineering and purchasing at working levels and to executive leadership through all development phases. The Engineer must be curious, persistent and innovative. The Engineer must have the ability to analyze supplier quotes and reach agreement on appropriate EDD (Engineering Design & Development), Additionally, the Engineer needs to be able to interact with the team in Design to Cost initiatives and benchmarking. piece cost and tooling cost. The selected candidate must have an understanding of the elements of piece cost and investment for various manufacturing processes typical for the production of assigned Driveline commodities.
Qualifications: ? Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Process, Mechanical Engineering, Business with automotive strong experience.
IE2/MED - 3 to 5 years? Interior cockpit focus ((Instrument Panel/Floor Console/Door Panel)) ? Proficiency in NX and Teamcenter. ? Experience in developing EDD (Engineering Design & Development) variable and/or tooling costs for automotive components. ? Manufacturing costing ? Solid technical knowledge in iron & aluminum casting, forging, machining, turning, grinding, stamping, MIG welding and final assembly.
? Knowledge in BOM's
? Ability to transform manufacturing processes into specific costs
Is a PLUS: * Basic knowledge of forming tools and fixtures knowledge and their related costs.
