We are actively seeking a Team Leader Stress Engineer to join our talented team. In this key position, you will be responsible for overseeing stress analysis projects, leading a team of engineers, and ensuring that all analyses meet both performance and regulatory standards. Your role will involve mentoring junior engineers, driving innovation in stress analysis methodologies, and collaborating with other engineering disciplines to achieve project goals.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of stress engineers in conducting analyses and developing engineering solutions for aircraft cabin interior components.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages idea sharing, innovation, and professional growth.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review project status, address challenges, and provide guidance on best practices.
Stress Analysis:
- Lead the development and execution of complex stress analysis projects, utilizing FEA tools such as NASTRAN, ANSYS, and ABAQUS.
- Oversee the creation and validation of FEA models to simulate structural behavior under varying load conditions, including thermal and fatigue.
- Analyze and interpret FEA results to identify design weaknesses and recommend optimization strategies to enhance structural integrity.
- Prepare and review technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholder and regulatory compliance.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that stress analyses and reports adhere to industry standards including FAA FAR Part 25 and EASA CS-25.
- Lead the preparation and validation of certification documents for submission to regulatory authorities.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry standards to ensure compliance in all analyses and methodologies.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (automotive backgrounds are not considered)
- Experience: 8+ years in stress analysis of aircraft interior components, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience leading teams.
- Extensive knowledge in using FEA tools such as NASTRAN, ANSYS, and ABAQUS.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including FAA FAR Part 25 and EASA CS-25.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex technical information effectively.
- Proven leadership skills and experience in managing engineering teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and innovative approach to engineering challenges.
