**EQUITIES - SALES & TRADING ANALYST**
Global Markets offers sales and trading services, including research, to institutional clients across fixed-income, credit, currency, and commodity and equity businesses.
Global Markets product coverage includes securities and derivative products in both the primary and secondary markets.
Global Markets provides market-making, financing, securities clearing, settlement and custody services globally to our institutional investor clients in support of their investing and trading activities.
We also work with our commercial and corporate clients to provide risk management products using interest rate, equity, credit, currency and commodity derivatives, foreign exchange, fixed-income, and mortgage-related products.
**As an analyst within Global Markets (Equities), you will**:
- Support sales, analyze client and market data
- Build relationships, knowledge and experience that will open doors to a wide range of future career options and opportunities
- Have the opportunity to sit down at other trading desks and learn different aspects of trading
**Responsibilities**
- Work closely with sales, providing support on an ad-hoc basis
- Quantitative analysis of market data and trade data for clients
- Perform daily tasks, such as collecting trade data and analyzing Market on Close imbalances
- Responsible for directing phone calls to sales and traders
- Work with the internal technology team to develop technological solutions for traders
- Maintain the local database report system, including development of new reports, upgrades, user administration, troubleshooting
**Skills and Abilities**
- Extensive Excel training and modeling skills required
- Strong quantitative background
- Knowledge of algorithmic trading an asset
- A keen interest in, and in-depth knowledge of capital markets
- A driven and motivated self-starter, able to work independently, in a proactive, self-directed manner
