Showcase your strengths as an Assistant Director of Engineering where you will oversee the day-to-day engineering activities of both the building and your team.What you will be doing:Work closely with the Engineering leadership team to exceed guest and staff expectations of the property.Lead and develop the Engineering team; including day-to-day operations, planning, task allocation, recruitment, ongoing coaching, performance management, payroll, etc.Scheduling and coordination of contract work on specific projects.Maintain inventory, order parts, supplies, tools and materials in accordance with approved budgets.Conduct inspection of rooms, public areas and Heart of House for condition and quality of work.Work alongside the Chief Engineer in planning and implementing capital projects.Coordinate preventative maintenance program for guest rooms, public areas and safety systems with a focus to improve efficiency, profitability and service levels.Participate in the hotel Sustainability Committee to contribute to energy savings.Monitor and update the fire safety plan and building evacuation plan
