**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**Position Summary**:
This position is responsible for support of General Ledger, specifically for month end closing, account reconciliations and analysis, and management while requiring intermediate supervision.

**Essential Functions**:
This position is to process and supervise on the following functions:

- Fixed assets and account reconciliations
- Monthly journal entries (Capital Asset Accruals, Impairment Accruals etc)
- Capital orders, assets under construction, capital budgets, year end processing, tax depreciations, opening/ closing periods and maintaining attributes on existing accounts
- Preparation of Mexican Fixed Assets and IFRS 16 Lease Reporting Disclosures
- Managing monthly IFRS 16 postings and ensuring lease rent expense accounts are reviewed and all expenses reclassed properly
- Prepare Data Capturing Sheet for IFRS 16 lease
- Provide and complete Fixed Asset and Lease information required for Mexican Tax Filing.
- Accounting for dual spend Intra company projects
- Year-end processing
- Annual audit

**Knowledge**:

- Working knowledge of account reconciliations, accounting principles and procedures.

**Experience**:

- 2-5 years of experience in general accounting within a manufacturing or public accounting environment
- SAP or other ERP experience preferred

**Skills**:

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
- Able to confidently and efficiently correspond to all levels of management
- Advanced independent analytical and problem solving skills
- Shows commitment to process improvement

**Education**:

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field required
- Accounting preferred
