In this position, the Cost Accountant will need to have the ability to partner with the Plant/Manufacturing Operations team to help them achieve their goals. Using accounting and financial analysis experience, this role will support management and provide data-driven recommendations, as well as ensuring that inventory and manufacturing controls are executed consistently. What you'll do:Use General Accounting Functions such as reviewing month-end inventory balances and transactions.Perform weekly and monthly inventory reconciliations.Assist with internal and external audit requests.Post Journal Entries to GL and manage accruals.Review spending (Supplies, Repair & Maintenance, and Labor) on a regular basis and provide summarized information to management.Review and publish manufacturing variances.Conduct Financial Analysis.Quote manufacturing and resale products.Analyze Production Metrics and Statistics.Constantly seek improvements in methods to better understand and report the production data.What you'll bring:3+ years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing and/or food processing business.Possesses a positive attitude and ability to hit the ground running.Advanced level of Microsoft Office Excel required.What you'll get:Take your career to the next level and work with amazing people around the world.An excellent salary, benefit offering, and development opportunities.A thorough and effective training experience during onboarding and beyond.
