**About the Role**:- The accountant will be responsible for data analysis, royalty calculations, journal entry preparation, general ledger reconciliation, and monthly financial reporting.
**What You'll Do**:- Responsible for calculating royalties for third party vendors.- Become a point of contact for assigned third party vendors.- Ensure a thorough understanding of the underlying processes and inputs.- Be self-sufficient at obtaining data from our reporting tools and using this information to review assigned areas.- Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes.- Generate various journal entries for month end close.- Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations which includes identifying and researching variances.
**What You Need to Succeed**:- Proficiency in Excel- Ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere as well as independently- Accounting and analytical skills- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively- Professional verbal and written communications skills- Ability to balance and manage competing high priority work demands- 2+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (accounting/finance degree preferred)**The Finance Team**You'll find a strong sense of community, collaboration, and cross-functional partnering within the Epicor Finance and Accounting organization.
