Accountant

**Responsibilities**:- Process payables, research purchase discrepancies, reconcile vendor statements, check /payment runs.- Maintain and update accounting records and files.- Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger.- Assist in month-end and year-end closures.- Prepare documents for audits.- Report to the Controller and work to improve financial processes.- Other duties as assigned.
**Required Skills**:- 5 plus years accounting experience, preferred in a manufacturing environment.- Associate Degree in Accounting- Excellent use of Microsoft Office Suite, proficient with spreadsheets- Ability to work remotely, with occasional travel to headquarters.- Concur Expense Management experience preferred.- Good math skills- Strong communication skills- High level of organization and multi-tasking skills- Positive attitude and open-minded approach to new tasks**Desired Attributes**:- Produce highly precise, accurate work by the book- Straightforward, factual- Analytical thinker, detail oriented- Stable, calm and deliberate- Self-motivated, ambitious to resolve challenges.
**Education**:- Degree/Certificate in Accounting.- Minimum 5 years' experience preferred.
