- Job Responsibilities: We are seeking a highly energetic, self-starter, for a company located in Tijuana.
The accountant position is a roll-up your sleeves, hands-on position, with five direct reports, that will be responsible all accounting functions including, accounts payable, customer invoicing, collections, flash reporting, closing monthly books, including preparation of journal entries, preparing monthly consolidation with an international subsidiary, fluctuation analysis, cash forecasts, modeling new customer opportunities, preparing annual tax work papers for accountants in the US, preparing the annual plan and miscellaneous other functions.
This position will be the senior financial person at the business.
Accounts payable.
Manage weekly/monthly invoicing and accounts receivable collection activities to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner.
Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly cash forecasting.
Prepare weekly report.
Prepare bank reconciliations.
Prepare and analyze BS accounts monthly reconciliation.
Set up and amortize fixed assets.
Set up prepayments with corresponding amortization.
Prepare quarterly commission statements.
Analyze and review transportation expenditures to ensure they are properly charged to customers.
Analyze and review freight and supplies expenditures to ensure they are properly charged to customers.
Close US books monthly, including preparation of general journal entries, preparing account analysis, etc.
Review Mexican financial statements.
Analyze various expense account fluctuations between actual to budget and prepare written explanation of variances.
Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements, including preparation of elimination entries.
Analyze potential customer price and costing for profitability.
Preparation of the annual budget.
Prepare US tax work papers.
Other analysis required to support the business.
**Experiência y requisitos**
- Experience/Skills: - Bachelor's degree in accounting with 5+ years' experience.
Previous experience working with Mexican maquiladoras.
Ability to prepare monthly closes, including consolidation, with basic elimination entries.
Cash flow management and banking.
Previous experience preparing budgets.
Knowledge of Microsoft.
Great Excel skills.
Good working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
Capable of working independently.
Strong systems knowledge.
Self-motivated.
Ability to work well with other team members at different levels of the organization.
Great interpersonal skills.
Enjoy taking on new responsibilities, even those outside the job description.
