We create flexible, connectable, and scalable stores that enhance your user experience.We're a remote company based in Mexico, and our team of 100+ brings together strategists, architects, designers, and developers to craft innovative digital experiences.About the OpportunityWe are seeking an Accountant to handle most of the day-to-day accounting and support the management of accounting records, preparation of financial reports using the accrual accounting method, in accordance with NIF and US GAAP. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to handle financial data, and support in ensuring compliance with the company's accounting standards.ResponsibilitiesComplete the bookkeeping and prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and support information for consolidated financial reports and subsidiary reports.Conduct balance sheet and operating results analyses, investigating variances for accuracy and classification appropriateness.Process full cycle Accounts Receivable, including client invoicing, payment collection, and recording deposits and receipts.Process full cycle Accounts Payable, including processing vendor and contractor invoices, ensuring PO compliance, and preparing bill payments.Process transactions associated with bank accounts, credit cards, and employee expenses.Collaborate with operating departments to help develop the annual budget, quarterly re-forecasts and monthly flash financial forecasts.Identify opportunities for improvement in the finance team's internal controls, policies and procedures as well as implementing any changes identified.Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual closings, and year-end audits.Skills and Qualifications3+ years of experience working with a Big 4 accounting firm as a Senior within the Audit and Assurance practice.1 year of full-cycle accounting experience in an industry setting.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Comprehensive knowledge and application of Normas de Información Financiera (NIF) standards.Experience with financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.CP, CPC, or CPA designation.Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and verbal).Technology professional services industry experience is an asset.Demonstrated expertise with spreadsheet software (Excel and Google Sheets) to build financial models including advanced formulas and functions (pivot tables, vlookups, index/match, etc.).Familiarity with accounting tools and software, including CONTPAQi.Strong communication skills, particularly when dealing with non-financial staff, leadership, and enterprise clients
