**Descri **ption**:
To analyze and make adjustments to inventory transactions, provide data for comparative cost analysis studies, review and compile period and variable expense data, compile and compute a variety of statistical and forecasting information, prepare subsidiary financial statements, perform preliminary analysis of consolidated accounting data and prepare budget figures, expenditure records and financial schedules.
**Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to**:
This job along with the Accountant, Accounting Clerk and Accounting Analyst report to Accounting Supervisor. Whether located in G.O. or assigned to a facility the incumbents normally specialize in General, Cost or Inventory Accounting.
1. ANALYZES INVENTORY TRANSACTIONS AND ADJUSTS RECORDS FOR DISCREPANCIES. Reviews invoices and Inv. Dist. Records (IDRs) to determine if Caterpillar Purchase are recorded into proper accounts and makes adjustments when necessary.
2. PROVIDES COMPARATIVE COST DATA FOR EVALUATION OF EXISTING AND PROPOSED PRODUCTS. Reviews current costs, contacts plants for cost data and determines documents necessary to complete cost studies.
3REVIEWS AND COMPILES PERIOD AND VARIABLE EXPENSE DATA. Reviews Cost Accounting Manual and mechanized list of expense allocations and assures period and variable expenses are allocated to appropriate burden pool.
4. COMPILES AND COMPUTES VARIOUS STATISTICAL AND CASH FORECASTING DATA. Reviews and consolidates statistical data, performs calculations and prepares reports reflecting totals and variances from previous reports and cash forecast figures.
5. PREPARES SUBSIDIARY FINANCIAL STATEMENTS. Reviews' accounting transactions reported by subsidiaries and prepares statements to reflect monthly financial position.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Accounting BS degree
- 50 % English level, written and oral communication
- 0-1 years equivalent experience in Accounting areas
