**The **Opportunity**:
The primary purpose of this position is to perform the daily accounting activities quickly and accurately record and report revenues, cost of sales, operating expenses, assets, liabilities, intercompany transactions and elaborate the working papers of taxes timely for Mexico ABC and other entities. Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes and its internal control environment, ensuring that practices are in line with corporate controllership expectations.

- Accounting degree or equivalent**EXPERIENCE**:
4-6 years' experience in accounting, payroll and Finance activities-
- SAP and Blackline experience preferred**THOSE NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE JOB COMPETENTLY**:
Must be able to communicate in English and Spanish B2 (Verbal and Written), Prefer the ability to communicate in English and Spanish C1 (Verbal and Written).- B2 Required - Can grasp the main ideas of long blocks of text or conversation even when abstract concepts or some irregular language is applied. Verbal and written communication is clear, varied and nuanced over a range of topics.- Substantial knowledge of general ledger, tax, and accounts payable accounting and processes.-
- Knowledge of parent and subsidiary accounting.-
- Intermediate level user of Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel), and the ability to learn various software quickly.-
- Effective analytical and problem-solving capabilities.-
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.-
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and responsibilities in order to adhere to corporate accounting and finance schedules.-
- Attention to detail.-
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.**HOW YOU WILL THRIVE AND CREATE AN IMPACT**:
- To perform day-to-day accounting matters related to Accounting, Taxes and Accounts Payables for VWR Mexico ABC and other entities. Accounting matters include revenue, cost of sales, operating expense, interest, tax, assets, liabilities, and intercompany transactions.-
- Maintain the general ledger chart of accounts.-
- Prepare and present monthly Balance Sheet analysis to LATAM Controller.-
- Ensure all tax activities are met in a timely manner (Monthly, Quarterly & Annual basis).-
- Assist LATAM Controller to implement, monitor and maintain internal controls.-
- Responsible for managing the month-end close and performance of month-end closing activities in SAP.-
- Review monthly and quarterly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.-
- Perform monthly review of manual journal entries for appropriateness.-
- Perform inter-company accounting and reconciliations.-
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting of data to Management.-
- Act as main point of contact with Internal and External auditors.-
- Assist with special projects as assigned to further enhance and simplify accounting and close processes.-
- Support ongoing business and financial system extensions, upgrades, and enhancements.-
- Register payroll information into the accounting, including accrual entries.**ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE**:
Position reports to the LATAM Controller. The individual will interface with the LATAM Finance Director, VWR Mexico Site Leader and other Finance staff and management.
