The Accounting Analyst at Rackspace Technology Interprets Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP) pronouncements. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues. Prepares general ledger journal entries, account reconciliations, and account balance fluctuation analysis. Prepares standard and specialized financial reports (e.g., roll forwards and summary schedules) according to GAAP. Assists in the preparation of external and internal reporting documents and providing supporting documentation to external auditors. Operates under high supervision.

**Responsibilities/Knowledge**:
- Works on problems of limited scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Performs assigned tasks by implementing dictated methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Basic knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Basic time management, communications, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Bilingual Spanish & Intermediate English
- Ability to identify and resolve basic problems.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Ability to interact with internal and external peers.
- Detail oriented.
- Beginner to intermediate Microsoft Suite experience(Excel, Office, Word)
- Beginner to intermediate ERP experience(Oracle or SAP)
**Education/Experience**:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred.
- At the manager's discretion, equivalent additional experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Requires 0-3 years of professional accounting experience
