We are looking for an Accounting Intern to join the team. This is a terrific opportunity for Accounting Students (last semester) or recent college graduates to join an established firm and learn from experienced colleagues to become successful. Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in bookkeeping tasks such as recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assisting with tax preparation tasks, including gathering necessary documents, inputting data into tax software, and preparing tax returns for review.
- Supporting the preparation of financial statements and reports by gathering data, performing calculations, and formatting documents according to established standards.
- Assisting with audit procedures by gathering documentation, performing audit tests, and documenting findings to support internal and external audit processes.
**Requirements**:
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards and experience in preparing financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Familiarity with auditing procedures and the ability to assess internal controls, identify areas of risk, and conduct audit tests to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Knowledge of Tax regulations in México.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Hands-on, capacity to work with delivery dates, open to work and learn.
- Availability to work part-time Monday - Friday, from 9AM - 1PM.
- Advanced English level
- Living in Mexico City
**Education**:
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
