We are hiring an **Accounting Intern** who will be supporting **two Maquiladora plants** (Reynosa & Tijuana) with the support of two plant controllers as well as U.S. based teammates.**What you will be doing**:- You will run, maintain, and analyze operations KPI reports such as scrap, labor efficiency, overtime, & overhead expenses and prepare accounting journal entries- Support ad hoc reports, analyses, and projects - for example, labor and overhead standard rate calculations to minimize over/under absorption across the plant and products- Support on reinvent and automate our reports and processes and synchronize across our plants!**Who you are**:**Required Skills and Competencies**- Currently studying a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields.- To graduate at least on June 2025.- Availability to work from 7am - 4pm (flexible).- Intermediate / Advanced English level- Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills**Preferred Skills and Competencies**- Experience with accounting software- Ability to multi-task- Organization skills- Strong problem-solving skills- Critical thinking (know how to prioritize, evaluate an analyze the best outcome)- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Proficient in the use of basic technology programs such as Microsoft Office**Why people choose to work with us**:At Steelcase, we put people at the center of everything we do.
