**Position Overview**:
The Accounting Manager will assist the Director of Finance Mexico with maintaining the financial records in compliance with US and Mexico standards and regulations, as well as Scoular policies and procedures. This position will assist the Director of Finance Mexico in meeting all financial reporting deadlines and maintaining accurate monthly and year end closes. In addition, the Accounting Manager will be tracking and follow up all recording activity through the Scoular's reports regarding positions, inventories, accruals, accounting, ensuring all records are on shape timely and accurate.
**Responsibilities**:
Making sure all inventory movements, shipments, loads, billing, logistics costs are recording on time and accurate in Scoular's systems.
Perform month end close procedures, coordinate activities with all team members involved on to prepare and submit financial statements timely and accurate.
Help to verify, document and maintain sound internal controls to prevent and anticipate control breakdowns from an accounting and tax perspective.
Continue improving controls and procedures in order to become more efficient all business process including inventory movements, recording, treasury, AR,AP, Fixed Assets, etc.
Reconcile all accounts monthly across all Scoular's systems.
Prepare Business Review Presentations and attend information requirements
**Requirements**:
**Minimum**:
University degree in Accounting and MBA in Finance or Strategy
At least 5-8 years of experience with either international companies preferable in Agribusiness.
Proven experience with ERP systems.
Intermediate level knowledge of all accounting functions and related internal controls, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets and inventory.
Strong knowledge of Mexican tax regulations.
Strong analytical skills.
Auditing skills, with the ability to research and reconcile difficult accounts.
Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Microsoft Excel experience is a must.
Detail oriented and organized in work.
Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
Proactive and independent
Ability to travel up to a week as well as internationally
