Job Detail
This role is responsible for overseeing the accuracy and productivity of staff and will work closely with the Finance Director to ensure the timely preparation of company financial records and related reports.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist staff responsible for the administration and recording of financial transactions including A/R, A/P and Fixed Assets
- Provide support for non-routine transactions and monitor and redistribute workload to meet all financial reporting deadlines
- Ensure timely payment of loans and vendors
- Input payroll costs/expenses into the ledger on a timely basis and ensure they have been recorded properly and allocated to the
- appropriate general ledger accounts and for management reporting purposes
- Regularly review general ledger for proper coding of transactions
- Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities and expenses and prepare account reconciliations, explain accounting
- transactions and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies
- Assists in the compilation of standalone financial statement for consolidation
- Reconciles intercompany balances with subsidiaries and related parties
- Assist in daily cost management activities including monitoring cash balances, prioritizing cash disbursements, and preparing cash forecasts.
- Ensure all accounting reporting is in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Ensures that proper controls are in place over financial processes and results
- Performs other duties as assigned
**Knowledge Required**:
- Technical/professional knowledge and skills
- Speak/read English proficiently
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness
- Effective verbal and written communication skills required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
**Experience**:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance with a solid understanding of general accounting theory and best practices
A minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing all aspects of general accounting or in a similar role
